Gordon Leonard

Owner

Gordon started the company with a desire to build things. He has flipped houses, built custom houses from the ground up, and done all types of remodeling projects. He loves the creative opportunities that remodeling provides and enjoys collaborating with customers to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Sonia Leonard

Owner

Sonia has been a silent partner for the last 17 years. Sonia’s full-time job for the last 23 years has been in education as a classroom teacher and an instructional coach at Richardson ISD. She joined the G&S Remodeling team in 2024, and she is fully committed to continuing the legacy of the company as a marketing director and a Customer Selection Liaison.

“I like to spend my free time making quilts, visiting State and National Parks with Gordon, and playing with my grand dog named Mochi”.

Brian Hawkins

Sales and Design Manager

Brian grew up in Plano and attended the University of Oklahoma. Brian has experience in residential construction, with an emphasis on project management and sales. Brian has lived in Oklahoma, West Texas, and Austin before returning to the DFW area.

His varied work and life experience gives him a unique perspective on the homebuilding process, and he looks forward to meeting with you to discuss your project in detail.

Alexandra Meermans

Interior Designer

With over a decade of experience in the design and construction industry, Alexandra brings a thoughtful, strategic approach to every project. She enjoys focusing on space planning and material application that enhances functionality without disrupting a building’s architectural integrity. Her design philosophy is rooted in context—honoring the unique character and “soul” of each space. Her goal is to create interiors that feel effortless and deeply aligned with both the client’s needs and the physical environment.

Alexandra holds a BFA in Interior Design from the University of North Texas.

Outside of work, you’ll often find her volunteering at the Dallas Zoo where she assists in the care of birds and reptiles.

Jeffrey Leonard

Project Manager

Jeffrey is a former Texan, and Indiana raised, graduated from Purdue University. Has 20+ years of experience in software engineering, working for Xfinity, Amazon, and Ricoh. Joined G&S in August 2024. Jeffrey is committed to making the most innovative designs and making our customers’ visions a reality.
